James R. Harris, seems to be Jesse Richardson Harris( father of William H. Harris, father
of Abbie Harris Beck). His service was for only one month. The office was closed after
his tenure for 11 years. J.R. Harris' wife, Jane was appointed 23 April 1878 and served
until 16 May 1900. Mrs. Brewer served from this date untill 1904 when the post office
was closed, and the mail was sent to Roseboro. In 1907, the office was permanently
closed.
